Exstrado Consulting Engineers is a specialist structural engineering consulting practice based in Cape Town, South Africa. Our clients include public and private sector organisations in South Africa, as well as in Europe.

We view ourselves as a highly focused and dedicated firm of structural engineers, with the ability to provide our clients with the specialist knowledge and expertise to fulfil their specific requirements on a given project, no matter how complex the task.

The Principal of the firm, Markus Hausen, has an established track record in the field of structural engineering. He has some 16 years of professional experience gathered at senior level with large international consulting firms in various countries around the world, including Germany, the United Kingdom and South Africa.

Markus Hausen is a registered Professional Engineer in South Africa (Pr.Eng.) as well as being a registered Chartered Engineer in Ireland (CEng MIEI).

The experience, knowledge and specialist expertise available at exstrado, and the sophisticated analysis and design tools at our disposal, means that we are in a position to consistently service our clients’ requirements with utmost professionalism and in an efficient and flexible manner, always within the budgetary and programme constraints of the particular project at hand. The diverse nature and complexity of the projects that we have successfully completed in the past, some of which are summarised in the following pages, bears testament to this.
